Farmers are providing bread and butter to all humankind in spite of several hardships in their cultivation process. But they are not being supported with minimum support prices for their produce due to unfair and irrelevant government's policies. Solemnly they are unable to sustain their livelihood and sometimes ends up their lives by committing suicides. This is highly ridiculous in India, Agriculture based country.
Government of India must set up a separate wing with rational budget for agriculture sector and review its development for every 3 years with the aim of socio-economic upliftment of farming community. It must give equal importance for production for the nation as well as prices for the farmers. Otherwise, committing suicides and crop holidays will be repeated to its worst. JAI KISAN
